    • It took a while for the sun to hit him just right to see the color. I believe they are migrating because I only see one every couple of years.

  1. I can’t believe you got that shot. I spent three days trying to photograph these large yellow and black butterflies and got nothing. Should try to get my hummingbird to pose.

    • Ha ha. I think hummingbirds are easier to photograph than butterflies. I didn’t realize that until I tried both. And, I only got one good shot of this guy with full color. Not only was he very skittish, but he moved so fast and the lighting was wrong to capture the neck color. Patience and perseverance; skills I need to work on.
