4/3/2016 Camping in Carrizo Plain National Monument

Carrizo Plain National Monument is known for its spring wildflowers and, since this year seems to be the year of the flower, we decided it was a good time to visit.  Unfortunately, it was crowded with people with the same idea.  But, as the day turned into night, everyone disappeared and we seemed to have the park to ourselves.

  1. Great photos Peter. That looks like a really great place to hike with not too many (or any) other people around. That’s a heck of a view for you guys to wake up to. And it was the perfect time to visit with all of the flowers in bloom. Thanks for sharing your photos. Many of them are frameworthy for sure.
